At Kiona-Benton City Elementary School we believe in serving all student populations in a safe and caring educational environment. We strive to create and implement a rigorous curriculum that will foster academic and social excellence. Our vision is that every child will read at or above grade level by the end of the 3rd grade. We feel strongly that our school is an important resource to parents in helping students to set and accomplish worthwhile goals enhancing their desire to become life-long learners.

RESPECT:

Everyday I will act with respect toward:

  1. Myself
  2. Every other person

RESPONSIBILITY:

  1. In the classroom - rules, school work
  2. At lunchtime - stay in my seat, listen to the story, clean up my area
  3. On the playground - touch no one in a bad way, use equipment (toys) correctly; obey adults; respond immediately to my bell to line up on time

MAKING IT RIGHT:

  1. To people - Say or write "I'm sorry."
  2. To property - Fix it up, if possible, or replace it
  3. Never doing it again
