Welcome to Kiona-Benton High School, home of the mighty Ki-Be Bears! We are a rural campus with a beautiful new building that houses 5oo+ students from a variety of backgrounds. Our staff combines the talent and knowledge of 32 outstanding educators, along with the experience and skill of 20 support staff members, to ensure that our students are provided with the educational background and academic skills necessary for them to graduate and become a competitive part of the future work force. In addition to academic opportunities, our students are also given the option of participating in a wide variety of vocational training programs through the Tri-Tech Skills Center.
Ki-Be High School students participate with pride in many athletic programs and have produced League and District Championship teams in each sport as well as State Championship teams in Volleyball and Baseball. Students also take part in several clubs and competitive groups such as FFA, Teen Read Club, Knowledge Bowl and many others.
Kiona-Benton High School staff and students are proud of our building, our students, our staff, and the educational and extra-curricular experience that is provided to each and every young person who enters our doors.

Washington Achievement Award Winner - The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), along with the State Board of Education presented the Washington Achievement Award to Kiona-Benton High School based on the Washington Achievement Index. The annual award celebrates schools for Overall Excellence and special recognition in six categories: Language Arts, Math, Science, Extended Graduation Rate, Closing Achievement Gaps, and High Progress.

Ki-Be High School making “Exemplary” Progress
As we look to higher levels of accountability for schools and school districts, it is gratifying that the Washington Policy Center has put out a report recognizing the districts making progress toward meeting the state’s higher standards for students. KBHS was at the top of the list!
The hard work by the staff and students at Ki-Be High School that has produced noteworthy improvement was recognized by the WPC as the fifth highest gains for all regular high schools in the state. (see attached)
In these times of accountability and budget cuts, it is encouraging that progress toward achieving the goals set out by the state are being recognized and documented. Our focus on improving student achievement in all of our schools will remain as our “paramount duty” as we work to provide all of our students with the best learning opportunities we can.
May 28 and 29 - Senior Finals
May 30 - Senior Awards Assembly in the Gym at 1:00 P.M. Deadline for paying fees and fines and last full day of classes for seniors.
May 31 - At 9:00 A.M. senior breakfast will be held in the commons. At 10:30 A.M. there will be a line up in the commons for practice. At 11:00 A.M. the High School Graduation practice in the stadium will commence. The Sunset View Alt School Graduation will be held at 6:00 P.M. in the high School PAC
June 1 - High School Graduation will commence at 11:00 A.M. At the High School football stadium
June 3 - Diplomas can be picked up in the office.
June 6 & 7- Finals
June 7-Last Day of School
June 20- High School office closes for Summer
August 12- High School office Opens
